Representative of NEC Labs Europe, Felipe Huici, presented the session “Towards Highly Specialized, POSIX-compliant Software Stacks with Unikraft”, at the Linaro Connect Virtual 2020 on 22-24 September.
The Linaro Virtual Connect brings together industry and the open source engineering community to collaboratively develop software on Arm. Linaro provides the tools, Linux kernel quality and security needed for a solid foundation to innovate on. At the time, multiple companies were frequently trying to upstream the same code, causing fragmentation and delay to product deployments. Linaro was therefore formed to consolidate the Arm code base and provide a much-needed collaborative forum for companies to work together on foundational open source software on Arm.
In Felipe’s talk, he presented Unikraft, a fully micro-library operating system and build tool which allows for building specialized OSes and software stacks targeting one application, while removing unneeded functionality.
You can still watch the session online, don’t miss the opportunity!
